"I am never sure what to say in these situations. But I suppose that if there is one thing that always comes to mind, it is that you should always be observant of ways to self inspire... to reach a point of not relying on others to inspire your work or affect your work. That means not being affected by what others (including friends) say about your work... neither the good things nor the bad things. You should seek to be the only audience that counts as far as your work is concerned. If you accomplish that, then your work will begin to inspire itself.... you will have found your voice."
