About Me

I am a generalist photographer. I love to show the world through my eye.  I enjoy my "day out date's" with my camera!  I have always had a passion for photography.  Two years ago I made the decision to further my education and turn my passion for photography into a career! It has been great!  As I grow, I find my style- what really says "this is me".  It's important to me to leave a photograph as I took it, very little post...after all isn't that why I chose to photograph that particular view?!?!?!  Sometimes things are already perfect...they just need to be seen!

  1. After working in a factory for six years, I decided it was time to go back to school. Being a wife and a mother of three, I wanted to do something for myself, something my family would be proud of. I knew I had enjoyed photography, but never really thought of it as a career. While at work one day, I was conversing with another employee about my career options. He looked at me like I was crazy and said “Christina, you already know what you are good at. Why not make a career out of photography?” It was like a light bulb went off in my head. Why had I not thought of that?

As I prepare to walk at my college graduation Saturday, June 2, 2012, I am overwhelmed with emotion. I have gained several valued relationships with my peers and the college faculty. I look over my work and I see my growth. I have worked on many rewarding projects over the past two years. I entered one image into the Student Addy Awards this year and took a Silver at the locals, Gold at District and now my “Ledford Mills” has gone National. Can you believe this? I get to do what I love and make money!

When I first started college I thought I knew exactly what type of photographer I was going to be. I was only going photograph people. Two years later, I have realized that I love it all. I love to photograph people, events and nature. I try not to categorize myself, because I always have room to grow and new adventures to travel.

Photography is so much deeper than just a photograph. When I press the shutter it allows a priceless moment to be captured, one that you could never get back without a photograph.
